Emina

Hey, I am Emina, a junior UX/UI designer passionate about understanding behaviors by moving pixels.

and a (former) dentist :)

I usually filled gaps between teeth, but nowadays, I am filling frames and rectangles on Figma with color. My design philosophy revolves around making functional design and purpose. I strongly believe that, when it comes to design, everything needs to have a function and serves the user to achieve their goals.

...I decided to explore the world of UX/UI design.

1

Creativity is the goal

Make creative solutions that communicate and connect effectively with the target audience.

2

Human psychology

Try bringing insight, knowledge and trust that understand and focus on what the users want.

3

UI/UX Design Mobile App AI-Powered
The Mind Nomad

The Mind Nomad is a minimalist, AI-powered micro-journal app that helps users gain deeper insight into their thoughts and feelings. This project focuses on the visual design and user experience of the mobile application. The goal is to create an intuitive and efficient solution that can be used at every moment.

The existing web platform is powerful, but how do you transfer it all to a smaller screen while still retaining all the functionality? The biggest challenge was to bring its core functionality to a mobile device. It was necessary to create a design that was both minimalistic and intuitive. Through this redesign, all changes made had to be fluid and logical to ensure a user-friendly application ready and easy to use on the go.

My role in this project was to design the overall user experience and visual identity. I focused on the needs of the users but also on maintaining the minimalism and purity of the application itself. The goal was to create a balance between the functionality of the application and its simplicity.

UI/UX Design Mobile App Health Tracking
Endobuddy

Endobuddy is a mobile health app designed with the goal to support over 190 million women globally who suffer from endometriosis. The main goal of the project was to provide an all-in-one application that connects easy cycle monitoring to a deeper knowledge of a user's symptoms, daily activities, and health. The app allows users to track their symptoms, nutrition, lifestyle and other factors, and gives them a tailored data visualization. On top of that, the goal was to provide an AI-powered assistant that can help you understand all that data and give you proactive insights with the end goal of making the users condition bearable.

The key problem was solving a vacuum in the women's health app industry, which mostly focuses on period monitoring and lacks solutions for people with complicated diseases like Endometriosis. User research shows that patients commonly use numerous apps to track periods, register pain, check diet, and seek community support, highlighting the need for an integrated solution. Competitor investigation revealed that previous applications had limited tracking choices, poor data presentation, absence of data export tools, and frequent technical difficulties such as data loss and errors. The objective was to create a user-centric application that consolidates all functions while providing customization and in-depth analysis, which existing solutions lack.

My role as the product designer was to oversee and lead the whole design process from start to finish. My work started with UX research, including competition and community assessments to discover user pain points and market potential. Based on the findings, I created a user persona to guide design decisions and outlined important features for the Minimum Viable Product (MVP). I designed the app's user experience and interface, including low-fidelity wireframes, high-fidelity screens, and flows, as well as the branding. This included creating important functionality, including customizable dashboards, sophisticated tracking systems, data analysis visualizations, AI assistants, and doctor-sharing features.

ChippieCount

UX/UI Design Mobile App Calorie Tracking
ChippieCount

Chippiecount is a mobile app designed to help people track their food consumption and calorie intake. The vision was to create a fun and engaging application that will have a playful design as the differentiator and give users the possibility to track their meals and get visual representation of their calorie intake and progress towards their goals.

One of the main challenges was to create a playful design that also gives the users the full power of a calorie tracking app. A lot of thought went into the concept of onboarding, as I wanted to make the best foundation to guide user in the right direction with corresponding alerts, notifications and visual representation of progress.

This was one of the first projects that I worked on, so I started with low-fidelity wireframes, designing the mascot of the app using AI and then following with high-fidelity screens and flows. This was also the first project where I explored the concept of prototypes

Food Delivery App

Food Delivery App

The project aim was to create a frictionless food ordering and delivery experience from the consumer side. I was provided with low-fidelity wireframes and the freedom to define the color scheme and typography.

The biggest challenge was to create a design that is both functional and visually appealing, and that gives users clear information about the items available, payment and delivery status.

As this was the first mobile project I have worked on, there were a lot of challenges mostly regarding picking the right color scheme, typography, but also understanding grids and layout positioning.

SarajGO

UX/UI Design Web Application
SarajGO

Website that has the main purpose of promotion of Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The brief was a website that serves as a directory of all the activities, events, restaurants, shops and other things to do in Sarajevo. The users should be able to book tours and visits, but also leave reviews for attractions and activities.

I wanted to go with a minimalistic and clean design, while translating the spirit of Sarajevo into the design. Apart from that, one of the requirements was for it to have an "AirBnB" like feel.

I was responsible for concept definition, low-fidelity wireframes, high-fidelity screens and flows, as well as defining the color scheme and typography.
